Notes on Comic Market 107

2025 is Comic Market’s 50th Anniversary Year

Starting with the first Comic Market on December 21, 1975 we are reaching 50 years this winter. From the last C106 to the next C108, we are celebrating this Anniversary Year with various projects. Please see the “Comic Market 50th Anniversary Special page” (in Japanese) for details

East Halls 1 - 3 are still unavailable due to construction work.

Circle applications were the highest post-COVID with over 30,000 applications. To increase the number of circles able to participate, we are placing circles also in East Hall 8 and have moved the Indoor Cosplay Area to part of West Hall 4. Overall placement is:

Length of some days and areas is extended (since C105)

The Corporate Area is extended to 17:00, only on Day 1
The Cosplay Areas are extended to 16:30, only on Day 1

Press activities are possible only during regular opening hours of each area.

It is possible to film from the scaffolding above the halls. However, this is a restricted area which requires the supervision from a Tokyo Big Sight employee. Thus, the access is limited to small numbers of selected publications. Please write an advance request in the remarks of the registration form if you are interested.

How to participate as media

1. Online pre-registration

Any publication/group wishing to conduct press and media activities at Comic Market must register using the Registration Form below.

Registration starts around 1 month before the event with a deadline a few days before the event itself. Any later registration will require longer on-site check-in. Entry might be denied in case of attendance by an overly large number of press. Advance pre-registration is mandatory for any live coverage from the venue.

After registration, an automatic reply will be sent to the registered e-mail address. Please print and bring along a copy (or print) of the e-mail for on-site check-in. If you do not receive a reply promptly, the registration might not be complete. In that case, please inquire using the contact address below.

2. Check-in at the event

All members of the group must come to the Press Registration Counter on the day of the event to check-in and receive their Press Pass and Armband. Check-in will start at 9:30. You must check-in each day.

Please wear your Press Pass and Armband at all times while conducting press activities.

Please return your Press Pass and Armband to the Check-in before leaving the venue.

Regulation and Registration Form

Qualifying Press/Media

Press registration is only possible if you are one of the following:

Journalist, camera person, editor or writer of a printed periodical publication or newspaper
Journalist, camera person, editor or writer of an on-line commercial news or information site run by a company
TV crew
Journalist or staff of a radio broadcast program.
Any freelance persons contracted with any of the above.
Any performers and models appearing in above.

Private persons running a blog or privately streaming video (e.g. Youtubers, TikTokers), or filming/photographing for non-commercial purposes (e.g. for hobby or academic purposes) cannot register as press.

Regulations and rules (excerpt)

In general, limit your group to 4 people or less. Larger groups might be denied entry. For filming of TV or movies, please limit your group to the minimum number of people necessary.
Safety is the highest priority at Comic Market. Please read, understand, and follow the regulations written on the Comic Market Catalog. They are applicable to all participants, including the press.
Before interviewing or photographing/filming individual participants, always identify yourself, provide your contact details, fully explain your purpose, and obtain the individual’s permission.
